Northwest Square is Central Florida’s exceptional wedding and event venue, located in downtown DeLand’s Northwest Historic District. We offer 4 distinctive indoor and outdoor event spaces, on-site and off-site lodging for events, a food hall and tap room, yoga, a flower and gift shop, and 15 apartments.

Chris has lived in DeLand most of his life and grew up attending Trinity United Methodist Church with his family. He fondly remembers the vibrancy and sense of community that buzzed through the church walls when he was a kid. Sitting in the balcony on Sundays (because they were always late to church) he never dreamed one day he’d own and preserve the very same space. After years of residential real estate investment, Chris knew he wanted to do something with the building after seeing it for sale. After months of deliberating with his wife, Jessica, the concept for Northwest Square was born.

Owner
Jessica is a Realtor and thought Chris was joking when he called and told her he was interested in purchasing the Trinity Church building. Due to have a baby the next day, she wrote and submitted the offer that took almost a year to finally be accepted. Jessica is a registered dietitian and lover of good food, cold drinks, and fun parties. With Chris’s knowledge of residential real estate, the mixed-use concept of food and beverage, events, and apartments came to life.
