What is Northwest Square?
For those just discovering us, Northwest Square is Central Florida’s exceptional wedding and event venue, housed in the beautifully restored 30,000 square foot historic Trinity United Methodist Church building. As an adaptive reuse project on the Historic Registry, we’ve transformed this 1926 architectural gem while preserving its stunning original features—from the stained glass windows and heart pine flooring to the interior brick and stage apron.
Our vision has always been to create a multi-purpose community hub where people can truly stay, play, and party. Northwest Square offers:
- Four distinctive indoor and outdoor event spaces perfect for weddings, celebrations, and corporate events
- Overnight accommodations for event guests
- A vibrant food hall featuring Bernard’s Market (downtown DeLand’s ONLY neighborhood grocery), Centro Tea Co., Chapel Tap, La Pinsa, Tropishack, and more
- Oliver and Gray Home for customizable gifts, bridal jewelry, and unique home items
- Wander Bar Cocktail Lounge for custom craft cocktails
- Fifteen boutique apartments within walking distance to downtown DeLand and Stetson University
